Sheldon R. Sackstein,CPA, Chairman of Action Long Island

Sheldon R. Sackstein is a graduate of Hofstra University, the Managing Partner of Sackstein & Company, L.L.P., Certified Public Accountants (Melville, Long Island), and a principal of the Infinity Consulting Group, Inc.  Also, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He is the current Chairman of the Board of Action Long Island; appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Long Island Power Authority (L.I.P.A.) by Governor Mario M.  Cuomo; Chairman of the Board of the Route 110 Transpor­tation Management Association; elected as a New York State delegate and NYS Treasurer of the  New York State Delegation to the White House Conference on Small Business; appointed to the Long Island Expressway (LIE) "Fast Lane" Advisory Group, and the LIE HOV Task Force by N.Y.S. Transportation Commissioner Franklin E. White; formerly  the  LI  Task  Force  Chairman  for United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies; the recipient of the Americanism Award of the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith;  and honored by the Long Island Association for Children with Learning Disabilities . appointed as a member of the U.S. Small Business Administration Region II - New York Advisory Council; elected to the Board of the Town of Huntington and Babylon- Route 110 Redevelopment Corporation; member of the Board of Directors L.I. Transportation Management.

Bob Nystrom, Kinloch Consulting

Bob Nystrom is Executive Vice-President of Kinloch Consulting Group, an employee benefit consulting firm located in Melville, NY. His expertise is in developing employee benefit programs for local and national companies. His specialty is any of the group products an employer would provide their employees as part of the benefits package; including medical, dental, vision, long term disability and HSA and HRA plans. For the past 21 years, Bob has worked as an independent broker, interacting with all the insurance markets and as a consultant in the analysis, design and implementation of both fully and self insured employee benefit plans.


Bob Nystrom moved into the insurance business after a 14 year career with the New York Islanders. He netted 235 goals (38 Game Winning Goals), and 278 assists for a total of 513 points during his career. Bob is sixth on the Islander all-time playoff-scoring list with 39 goals and 44 assist for a total of 83 points. He will never be forgotten as the man who scored the sixth game overtime goal to defeat the Flyers in 1980 for the Islanders first Stanley Cup triumph. The Islanders officially retired #23 to the rafters on April 1, 1995.

Bob supports numerous charitable organizations including: Marty Lyons Foundation, Leukemia and lymphoma, Island Harvest and the Clark Gillies Foundation. He is on the Board of Directors of Action Long Island and also co-chairs the Healthcare Task force. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Island Harvest.

He is married to Michele, and has two children, daughter, Marisa, and son Eric.
