An Urgent Call to President Obama and Congress to take Swift Action on Behalf of the Nation’s Small Businesses

Action Long Island (ALI) believes that it is very important for LI to take the lead, along with the State of NY, at this very critical time in our economic history, to send a signal that we deeply care about the back bone of our economy, small business, and that we want to be known as a place where small business wants to come to, stay, grow and prosper.

In his State of the State message we have just heard NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo issue a challenge for more job creation in NYS.

ALI does hereby, through our actions here today, accept that challenge, and to that end we have already written to Governor Cuomo and extended an invitation for him to join us in this initiative.

ALI applauds and sends a message of great thanks to those many leaders who are here today, and the many who have already signed on to this initiative, thereby stepping forward to show their dedication to what we are all working toward.

ALI Chairman Sheldon R. Sackstein stated that “In these challenging economic times, it is essential that we make all that is needed available to our small businesses which serve as our ECONOMIC ENGINE in order for them to create the jobs necessary to pull the nation forward”.

Co-Chair:

Jay Herman, Esq., Herman Katz Cangemi & Clyne
